Korean garments from disassembled old books

Traditional Korean garments are reinvented in this robe made from disassembled old books. Artist Kim Tae Soon sees her work as a commentary on the Confucian tradition of burning the clothing of deceased parents to speed their journey to heaven. “A Korean Rauschenberg” is how Getty president Jim Cuno describes it.
