Prayer flags in the Himalaya


As we can see in this beautiful picture, words are not always written in paper, or books in our libraries. From

Dominic Burdon, runner-up: The picture was taken at Shey Palace in Ladakh, in the Indian Himalayas, an amazing monastery-rich environment. Much of the land was a dull brown hue, but I will always remember the region as being colourful due to the thousands of prayer flags that flapped wildly in the winter winds on countless hilltops and mountain peaks.
